Guidelines

• The applicant must be a student who plans to attend the WA College of Agriculture, Denmark, and is a Year 9 or 10 student residing in the Shire of Denmark.
• The scholarship will not be based wholly on academic record. The applicant’s level of interest in agriculture is a consideration.
• Preference will be given to those students who are likely to continue agricultural pursuits within the Shire boundaries.
• The scholarship amount will be determined by Council via the Annual Budget process and is payable as a lump sum upon proof of enrolment.
• Shire Officers will work closely with the WA College of Agriculture, Denmark, to promote the availability of the scholarship.
• The scholarship will be widely promoted in local papers, notice boards, Council’s website and social media.
• A scholarship will not be awarded if no applicants are suitable.
• The decision of Council is final.
• The closing date for applications will be determined each year by the Manager Community Services to allow sufficient time for determination of the winner by Council and presentation at the relevant school’s graduation ceremony.
