Sustainable Water
Sustainable Water is a Sustainability Pillar in our Sustainability Strategy 2021 - 2031. The relevant key principle is: 'A sustainable water approach seeks to manage the threat to the supply and quality of water resources for our community while also seeking to minimise usage'. Our objectives related to this pillar are:
- Enact water usage minimisation strategies for Shire operations
- Promote incorporation of waterwise usage into land-use planning and for new developments
- Support initiatives that promote waterwise use in the community
- Provide education to the community on waterwise use
