Popular Program 'Book a Ranger' Assists with Fire Preparedness

On the back of a long and dry summer, our Rangers are once again offering their free ‘Book a Ranger’ service, which offers community members the chance to make an appointment with a Ranger to go over the property maintenance requirements in the annual Firebreak and Fuel Management Notice.

The aim of the program is to demystify some of the complex requirements listed in the notice and to help residents identify some of the actions they need to take to prepare their property for the warmer months and property inspections.

This year, the program has been extended to run from now until November, allowing community members more time to Book a Ranger before the next bushfire season comes around.

The new Shire of Denmark website allows community members to request an appointment online using a simple and quick form, available at: www.denmark.wa.gov.au/book-a-ranger or call Ranger Services on 9848 0300.

More information about bushfire preparedness is available via your local Bushfire Ready group.
