Public Comment Sought on Naming Proposal 'Hart Cove'

The Shire of Denmark has received a request to name an area along the Wilson Inlet Foreshore ‘Hart Cove’.

Council supports the proposal and is now seeking comment from stakeholders and the broader Denmark community.


ABOVE: Cove on the Wilson Inlet proposed to be named ‘Hart Cove’ in remembrance of James (Jim) Hart located behind 107 & 109 Minsterly Road, Ocean Beach.


Details of the reasons behind the proposal and an extract from the Council Minutes can be found below, or at the Shire Administration Office.


The Shire has received preliminary advice from Landgate and the Wagyl Kaip Cultural Advice Committee, who have no objections.

Submissions must be received by 4.00pm, 31 October 2023 and can be:

  • Posted to PO Box 183, Denmark WA 6333
  • Delivered to the Shire Office at 953 South Coast Highway, Denmark; or
  • Emailed to enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au
