The annual Seniors Week celebrations are fast approaching, with community members aged 60+ invited to book their tickets to attend the highlight of the week, the Seniors Week Celebration Lunch.
Hosted this year at Boston Brewery on Thursday 14 November, local seniors will be treated to food, entertainment, prizes and more, all centred around the 2024 Seniors Week theme of ‘Explore. Engage. Evolve.’
The free event sells out every year and with limited places available, community members are recommended to make their ticket bookings as soon as possible.
Complementing the luncheon will be a suite of Seniors Week activities hosted by the Denmark Recreation Centre and Denmark Public Library, ranging from seniors-friendly exercise classes to get your body moving such as chair yoga and qi gong, plus more passive connection opportunities, including a bird calls identification session delivered in partnership with the Denmark Bird Group.
This year’s event is proudly sponsored by the Shire of Denmark, the Department of Communities, Council of the Ageing WA and the Denmark Community Resource Centre.
