Parry Beach Campground is a volunteer-managed campground providing nature-based camping in the Shire of Denmark.

The campground does not take bookings and operates on a first-come, best-dressed policy.

Campground Information

This camp operates on a first-in, best-dressed policy. Bookings are NOT AVAILABLE.

During peak periods, the campground is generally full by lunchtime each day, so come early if you are seeking a place.

Note: Owners of large Caravans or large Recreational Vehicles (RVs) other than pop tops should note that the height restriction for the park is 2.7 metres.

Campground Rules

WELCOME TO PARRY BEACH CAMPGROUND

The Parry Beach Reserve & Camping area is managed by the Parry’s Beach Voluntary Management Group Inc. (PBVMG) for the Shire of Denmark. 

The Shire takes no responsibility for damage to, or loss of, vehicles, camping accommodation or property. 

Campground Caretakers are volunteers.  All fees go to the Shire for the maintenance of the Reserve. With your co-operation, we can continue to keep Parry Beach a beautiful place for ourselves and future generations to enjoy.

 Campground Rules

  1. Alert the Caretaker to any concerns. 9am–12pm and 1-5pm (after hours for emergencies).
  2. Maximum stay of 3 weeks March – November and 2 weeks December – February
  3. Check out 10am
  4. Behaviour Expectations:
  • For the comfort of all guests no undue noise is permitted between 10pm and 8am.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring their children do not disturb campground peace.
  • Excessive noise and rowdy parties will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Abusive language (including swearing), physical intimidation or assault will not be tolerated at any time.
  • Any such behaviour will result in eviction and possible future bans from the campground.
  1. Unoccupied caravans, trailers, tents, and the like must not be left in this campground. Any vans/equipment left unattended for more than 24 hours will be removed by the Caretaker – even if you have paid camp fees.
  2. Saving spots for friends is not permitted.
  3. You must consult the Caretaker before moving to another site within the campground.
  4. Pop-up showers and toilet tents are not permitted.
  5. Dispose of all rubbish in the bins provided, located past the BBQ area. A special unit is provided for fish offal and meat scraps unwrapped or in paper (no plastic in this bin please) – located past rubbish bins.
  6. No fish cleaning within campground – a table is provided on the beach.
  7. Quiet generators are permitted and can only be used between 8–10 am and 5–9 pm.
  8. Dogs are welcome and must be kept on a leash, and not left at the campsite unsupervised.
  9. Beware of snakes, deadly species live here. Keep your children and dogs out of bush areas.
  10. All vehicles (including motorbikes) are to be driven slowly and responsibly through the campsite (5kms/hr). All vehicles must be licensed.
  11. All washing water is to be deposited into the sinks, not run onto the ground at your site.
  12. Make sure that your gas bottles are within government regulations and are in good working order.
  13. Fire extinguishers are found throughout campground. Please note where your closest fire extinguisher is located.
  14. Family shower is in the front ablution block. Accessible facilities are in each ablution block.
  15. Water is heated from solar panels; hot water will not always be available. Please use the outdoor shower in front of the ablution block for washing off sand prior to showering.
  16. Water is not to be used for the cleaning of vehicles, boats etc.

FIRE RULES

  • Campfire Ban: No fires when the Fire Danger Rating is High or above. Campers must check the Daily Fire Danger Rating daily.   www.emergency.wa.gov.au
  • Firewood is available from the Caretaker’s Cottage until 5pm daily when fires are permitted.
  • Please only use the fire pits provided.
  • Fires may only be lit 1 May - 30 October if the Fire Danger Rating is Moderate or below and must never be left unattended.  
  • Extinguish all fires before going to bed.
  • Fires are not allowed during the Restricted Period 1 November - 30 April.
  • Absolutely NO collecting firewood in the park or reserve.
  • You may BYO firewood, but it must be small size pieces and able to fit inside the fire drum.
  • Please return wood bags to bin outside Caretaker’s Cottage.
  • Any breach of fire rules will result in eviction.

Please take extra care with your campfires – mistakes may cost lives.

Evacuation and Emergency Information

EVACUATION PROCEDURE

In case of emergency all persons must turn off all gas and extinguish fires.

Move as quickly as possible to the Evacuation Area (front BBQ area) to receive further instructions.

 

Please do not bring your camping equipment or caravan etc.
