The review process for the Shire of Denmark’s Strategic Community Plan continues this month following the completion last week of two community workshops in Denmark and Nornalup.
Community members from all over the Shire got involved in the two in-person workshops, but for those who missed out, the Shire is pleased to announce ‘Do It Yourself’ engagement kits are now available online.
So far, the Denmark community has shared an incredible amount of positive and helpful feedback for the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan review, with more than 1600 individual responses to surveys, questionnaires and workshops already submitted.
Shire of Denmark Chief Executive Officer David Schober said the DIY Kit is a great opportunity for local groups, clubs and organisations to pool their ideas and contribute to the review process.
“We very much encourage anyone who is interested, to take this chance to get involved before the consultation for this review process closes,” Mr Schober said.
“There are three simple activities in the DIY kit which replicate the discussions we had during the in-person workshops last week, so if you missed out on attending either session, there’s still time to get involved.”
The DIY Kit is available for download at www.yourdenmark.wa.gov.au/lets-talk and must be submitted to the Shire by 4pm Friday 28 April 2023 via email at enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au.
The draft Strategic Community Plan will be available for public comment in May.
