As of the 30th March, the Shire of Denmark is currently in the Restricted Burning Period.

During the Restricted Burning Period, which extends until  the 30th April , residents and visitors to the Shire of Denmark cannot light an outdoor fire without a Permit to Burn. Camp and cooking fires are permitted during this time under specific conditions.

Permits to Burn are issued by local Fire Control Officers and are subject to strict conditions.

To apply for a Permit to Burn, residents must make their request at least 7 days prior to the planned date of the burn.

On days with a Fire Danger Rating of Moderate or below, fires contained in a Purpose Built Structure (including solid fuel barbeques, fire pits, outdoor pizza ovens) are permitted.

Property owners are reminded that the Maintenance Period is still ongoing until the 30th April and property compliance inspections will continue until the end of this month.
